Client Profile: Kids ‘R’ Kids

Headquartered in the North Atlanta suburb of Duluth, Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academies provide secure, nurturing and educational environments for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.

There are over 170 Learning Academies in 16 states, each helping children bloom into responsible, considerate and contributing members of society. Kids ‘R’ Kids International® is a family-owned and operated organization ranking in the top three nationwide for franchised early childhood education centers.

Our team had the opportunity to speak with Bret Beitler and Alex Mesa, who own two Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academies in the Houston, Texas area and who have plans to open a third in 2020. Their business began in 2017, when a mutual friend was running a different early educational school. Impressed by what they saw, they researched various programs and opted to establish a Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy. They engaged Avitus Group soon thereafter.

Currently Avitus Group provides co-employment, accounting, and tax services in support of the 65 employees who work at the two schools. Alex and Bret appreciate Avitus Group’s economies of scale and “mall of services.”

“Avitus Group allows us to be the business owner and gives us the resources we need whenever an expert is required,” said Bret. Alex agreed, noting, “What we really like about Avitus Group is that Avitus asks questions and provides advice to help us to improve.”


Avitus Group Announces 5 New Vice Presidents

Chief Operating Officer Andrew Lindley has announced the promotion of five Avitus Group leaders to the role of Vice President for the 360-employee organization. According to Lindley, “When selecting the individuals for these roles, we focused on people who exhibited dedication, servant leadership ability, vision, humility and appreciation.”

The new Avitus Group Vice Presidents are:
– Eli Johnson
– Chris Balster
– Alex Mozota
– Sarah Staus
– Dawn Holden

Lindley notes that these leaders will share the title of Vice President without any particular department or division designation. This approach not only is designed to build solidarity within the team, but also to allow for changes in assignments as the various needs of the company change. He says, “We are excited to watch to watch these individuals grow as Avitus Group continues to expand.”
