Minimum Wage Increases Scheduled for July 1, 2020

minimum wage increases, July 2020, resources

According to the Economic Policy Institute, the federal minimum wage of $7.25 has not been raised since 2009. Some states, cities, and municipalities, however, have opted to increase their minimum wage rates. There are a number of new wage increases scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2020.

Small business owners are required to comply with all minimum wage rules, not only those required under the Federal Labor Standards Act, or FLSA. That’s why we’re sharing a resource containing wage increase details, including information addressing the often-complex requirements within the state of California. The document contains links for address confirmation in the city of Los Angeles, as well as zip codes and towns for unincorporated areas of Los Angeles county.
